Wow! What a busy week. There seems to have been some major project to do or some appointment to go to or some phone call to make everyday this week! We are pretty worn out. Jesse finished his last class for his master's degree and turned in his last paper this week! We celebrated with a dinner out last night. I am so proud of him. Today, we went to my 27 week OB appointment, and everything looked great! The baby's heart rate was in the 140' to the 160's, and his head is in the right place- no pun intended. I am feeling the extra weight in the 3rd trimester. Fortunately with plenty of rest between all of the craziness of the week I feel fine. Jesse posted a lot of pictures on our site including our recent trip to the smokies, North Carolina, Josh and Havilands wedding, my 5 and 6 month belly shots and more. Please check them out.
Well, as the title says, this weeks' post is short. I've got a whole list of things to go and do now! Have a great week!

Soaking wet!
As tired as I am about hearing about the weather around here, I do feel that I have to mention it at least briefly. As most of you are probably aware, the state of Washington has been hit with some drenching rains, and even some snow! Certain areas in Washington and Oregon have been declared to be in a state of emergency as flooded areas and mudslides have left so many families homeless, stranded, injured and even worse. It is really unfortunate for all of the poor people affected by these unpredictable things. Jesse and I feel very lucky to be in Seattle on high ground right now.
Aside from the crazy weather, We have been very busy Christmas shopping, writing Christmas cards, baking, cleaning, and generally doing everything we can to prepare for the holidays and our new arrival. Jesse surprised me with a new Christmas tree this year, that is now decorated and shining beautifully in silver and red with white lights. Most of the presents are wrapped, aside form the edible ones (for fear they would be eaten by Marley). I am glad that we were able to get a little bit of a head start this year!
The computer room is quickly filling with baby items now. Soon, we will purchase the big pieces of furniture, and our office will move into the living room. Jesse took me out this weekend for more maternity clothes. The third trimester is requiring some larger shirts than anticipated to cover my ever-growing bump. We are getting ready to start our birthing classes soon. I can't wait, because it means were are just getting closer to the moment of arrival! We haven't forgotten about the pictures by the way. Soon we will take my 7 month picture, and will post 5,6, & 7 all at once.
Well, we hope that everyone has a stress-free week, and can enjoy this fun holiday season! Take care, and we'll talk to you soon!
